Nick Novak Kicking Lessons

On Monday and Tuesday veteran NFL Kicker Nick Novak was in Scottsdale, Arizona for Kicking Lessons.

Nick has been with several NFL teams and is looking for another chance from either the NFL or UFL.

He -like Tiger Woods has done- is looking to make a swing change to make him better or more consistent hitting the ball. During Nick's College and NFL football career, I would characterized his kicking technique as a 'Cruncher'.

There are a couple of NFL kickers that are 'Crunchers' and are very good or excellent kickers. But, as I always say what might be good for one kicker might not necessarily be good for another.

Nick has always been a very accurate kicker but feels he must do something to improve. After watching him and working with him through the years I always believed if Nick would eliminate some of his crunching he would even be more accurate, kick the ball further and eliminate chances of injury. Most 'Crunchers' as they get older and less flexible eventually start developing back, groin and leg problems.

In the photo above, Nick Novak is getting excellent foot position on the ball.

In the photo above as Nick Novak eliminated his crunching motion he started to kick up and through the ball much better.

With the final results Nick felt he was kicking up and through the ball with the same accuracy but with a lot less effort.

To learn anything more about why you need to take a lesson!

It was a pleasure working with Nick. He is a 'Pros - Pro'. He is one of the hardest working kickers I have ever met and is committed to getting back in the league and is willing to do whatever it takes.

My hat is off to Nick and his efforts...I wish him the best of luck.
