NFL Personnal Directors

I just returned from our cabin in Show Low, Arizona and I have a lot of work to do. First, I must finish my letter to the NFL Personnel Brass and get it out this week.

I am sending another letter out this week to promote Coach Zauner, LLC. This letter is going out to NFL General Managers and Directors of College and Pro Scouting.

I'm anticipating this and other letters to personnel of the NFL Brass will not only promote my business, but also, will help give exposure to the Free Agent kickers, punters and snappers I have worked with.

Through the years there has been a lot of kicking talent which has not been discovered or gone unnoticed. I hope the players I post on my website will be seen by more Directors of Personnel and get a chance to show their talent or others in some situations get another chance.

This is the content of the letter:

ANOTHER RESOURCE FOR YOU TO FIND & EVALUATE KICKING TALENT

I have coached kickers, punters and snappers for 35 years, with 17 Pro Bowlers and three NFL kicking records. For the 13 years I was in the NFL as a Special Teams Coach with the Vikings, Ravens and Cardinals, GM’s, Head Coaches, Directors of Personnel and Scouts came to me for advice on how to evaluate kicking personnel.

Frank Gilliam, who I worked with for 8 years at the Minnesota Vikings had this to say, “As the Vice President of Player Personnel, Gary was also valuable to our scouting staff. He would coach our staff on what to look for with kickers and punters. His knowledge and evaluations of kicking personnel were in-valuable to myself and our staff, especially when it came to free agency and the draft. I have been in the NFL with the Vikings for 36 years and nobody knows kicking personnel and how to coach and evaluate them better than Gary!” Comments: 6 / 2007

I have created a website http://www.coachzauner.com/ to assist Special Teams Coaches and Directors of Personnel find and evaluate kicking specialists. On my website you can view available:

VETERAN – FA – DRAFT ELIGIBLE KICKING & PUNTING TALENT

For example, if you don’t already know about Derek Doerfler, junior kicker at Baker University then you need to look at my recent One on One pro style workout which is posted on my website. Derek was named the team and conference (MVP) and was also the 2007 AFCA-NAIA All-American Kicker. If you watch this workout, I think you will agree Derek has NFL draft talent.

Two other sleepers you can view on my website, waiting to be discovered are Garrett Palmer (San Diego State, combination kicker / punter) and Shane Phillips (Australian Punter via Alcorn State).

HEAD COACHES, GM’S & SPECIAL TEAMS COACHES USE MY WEBSITE

Several NFL Head Coaches, GM’s and Special Teams Coaches contacted me prior to the draft and viewed the One on One lessons on my website. These lessons included some of the top college kickers, punters and snappers in this year’s draft. Of the 10 players I worked with, six (60%) were either drafted or signed as Priority Free Agents.

Some of the 2008 draft eligible specialists I gave One on One Lessons to and their draft results:

· Taylor Mehlhaff (PK) – U. of Wisc. – Drafted 6th Rd. Saints
· Tyler Schmitt (Snapper) – SDSU – Drafted 6th Rd. Seahawks
· Brett Kern (P) – U. of Toledo – Free Agent Broncos
· Garrett Hartley (PK) – U. of Oklahoma – Free Agent Broncos
· Kenny DeBauche (P) – U. of Wisconsin – Free Agent Packers
· Nick Jarvis (Snapper) – Wake Forest – Free Agent Jets

Not only did I work with college specialists but I also coached veteran NFL kickers and punters. This spring Mike Vanderjagt, Scott Player, Mitch Berger, Rian Lindell and others participated in my One on One Lessons here in Arizona. The results were excellent! In the 2007 season Mitch Berger signed with the Cardinals, in 2008 Scott Player signed with the Patriots. You can view their workouts on my website.

In 2009 I’m planning a Free Agent Specialist Workout Camp in Arizona. For more information regarding this camp, or my consulting services email me at gzauner@aol.com or call at 612.239.9529.

I HAVE ATTACHED TWO PDF BROCHURES FOR YOUR PERUSAL WITH TESTIMONIALS BY HEAD COACHES, GENERAL MANAGERS, PERSONNEL DIRECTORS, KICKERS AND PUNTERS.
