About two weeks after Coach Zauner's Free Agent Combine on March 12th and 13th 2018, I received a call from Scott Daly telling me "Coach, I had a great workout the other day with the Dallas Cowboys and they are offering me an NFL Contract. All I could say was "Great News!"

I first met snapper Scott Daly about four years ago when he was a junior at the University of Notre Dame. All I can say is "what I nice young man".
I first started working with Scott in the spring of 2015 when he came to Fountain Hills, Arizona for his first ONE on ONE Snapping Lesson.
For the next couple of years I would either see Scott in the Spring or Summer for a ONE on ONE Snapping Lesson or he would attend one of my Snappers ONLY "Vital" Man Training Camps either in Arizona in January or Wisconsin in July.
This year in February Scott again came to Arizona for another ONE on ONE Snapping Lesson to prepare for my Free Agent Combine in March.
During the lesson we continued working on his blocking technique but the focus was on trying to improve his snapping speed. Since graduation he has been in a couple of NFL camps but always released. One of the repeated comments by NFL Coaches was his snapping speed.
Well, that issue has been resolved. In the last year Scott has worked a couple of drills to improve his speed and his hard work has paid off. A contract with the Dallas Cowboys.
Coach Zauner's Snapping Programs in the last 9 years have produced 26 snappers on NFL and CFL rosters. This year University of Oregon snapper, Tanner Carew was invited to the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine. Hopefully, in the fall there will be at least two more snappers on NFL rosters.

I first met Taybor Pepper Michigan State University snapper at my January 2016 Snapper's ONLY 'Vital Man' Training camp in Fountain Hills, Arizona.

Taybor was one of the 34 College, Free Agent and Elite High School Snappers attending this camp to prepare for either Coach Zauner's College Senior Combine in February or Free Agent Combine in March here in Gilbert, Arizona or for their next upcoming season.
Taybor was attending to prepare for Coach Zauner's 2016 College Senior Combine. During this camp Taybor was exposed to Coach Zauner's philosophy of snapping and blocking in a PRO Style kicking game.
During this camp snappers get exposed to Coach Zauner's College Senior Combine testing. They learn Coach Zauner's Perfect Laces and Balls and Strikes Drill. They also practice Coaches Coverage Agility Drill. NFL Special Teams Coordinators like NFL prospects that can not only just snap, but also snap, block and cover. Get down field and make a tackle.

Every year in February Coach Zauner hold his College Senior Combine in Gilbert, Arizona at Campo Verde High School. In 2016 76 specialists attended this combine and Taybor was one of 27 snappers in attendance competing for Coach Zauner's recommendation.
This three day combine was designed by Coach Zauner for College Seniors looking to get exposure to NFL and CFL professional football teams. Seniors from all over the country and from all divisions of college football head to Gilbert, Arizona to attend Coach Zauner's Combine to show case their talents and get Coach Zauner's endorsement and recommendation as an NFL Prospect.
Throughout Coach Zauner's coaching career he has earned a reputation for having an "Eye" for talent and also the ability to develop kicking, punting and snapping talent. Actually throughout his coaching and consulting career he has now worked with 120+ NFL and CFL kicking specialists, including 25 PRO Bowlers.
After, the College Senior Combine, Taybor along with nine other snapper received Coach Zauner's recommendation and endorsement as a player that has NFL potential. After the 2016 NFL Draft Taybor attended a couple of NFL mini camps along with 10 other snappers. Several signed NFL contracts.

After the 2016 NFL season I received a call from Taybor in late December and he wanted to refine a couple of things in his snapping game and came to Fountain Hills, Arizona for a ONE on ONE Snapping Lessons in January of 2017.

A couple of weeks later Taybor was in Green Bay, Wisconsin for a workout and signed a futures contract with the Packers. A couple of months later he was released. Just like a couple of other snappers that attended my camps and combines that signed futures contracts, they get released sometimes because of roster moves for other position players. Taybor was one of those casualties.

Later in the summer, Taybor signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He played in a couple of preseason games but again was released. The life of a free agent kicker, punter or snapper is many highs and many lows.
Taybor was like many other free agent specialists that were final cuts, home watching Sunday Football.
Keeping the dream alive, Taybor kept training. Hoping for that next call and workout with any NFL team looking to replace their snapper or in case of an injury. On Sunday the Packers veteran snapper was injured on put on injured reserve. Nobody likes to see a player get injured but when there is an injury you just hope your one of the players brought in for a workout.
Sunday night Tabor got that call from the Packers. It helped that the Packers were familiar with Taybor and liked what they saw earlier in the year. This weekend Taybor will be fulfilling a dream to be an Snapper on an NFL Team.

This year Taybor Pepper becomes the 7th Snapper from Coach Zauner's Snapping Programs to make and NFL roster. In the last 9 years Coach Zauner's Snapping Programs have now produced 24 snappers on NFL & CFL rosters. In August of 2016 I was checking NFL Teams for their final roster cuts and I noticed some guy by the name of Zach Wood. He was listed on the Dallas Cowboys roster as a Defense Player and Snapper.

When I called a friend of mine with the Cowboys he said Zach was a undersized defensive football player that had some pretty good snapping ability. They brought him to training camp because he served two purposes. First, he could line up on the defensive look team and secondly he served as a backup snapper.

At that point in time they did not think he had the consistency to be a starting snapper on a NFL team but they thought he had some excellent potential.
Next, I contacted Zach and told him that I was a kicking, punting and snapping coach and believed I could make him a better and more consistent snapper.
I mentioned that in the last 9 years Coach Zauner's Snapping Programs had produced 19 snappers on NFL and CFL rosters. Many had come to Fountain Hills, Arizona for ONE on ONE Snapping Lessons and or attended my Snapper's ONLY Training Camps.
He said he needed to talk to his family. Well, a couple of days later he called back and set up a ONE on ONE Snapping Lesson. On October 5th and 6th, 2016 he and mom came to Arizona to work with Coach Zauner.
My first impression of Zach was that he was a good looking football player. Well put together and solid. He was a football player that could snap. Many snappers, that's all they can do is just snap. Many NFL Coaches like snappers that have a little more athletic ability to snap, block and the bonus is ability to cover and make tackles.

During our ONE on ONE Snapping Lesson we worked a lot his footwork for blocking. Many players are good snappers but lack the ability to snap consistently and still able to block a rushing NFL player. We also worked on his consistency snapping tighter spirals with more accuracy.

We also worked on on his ability to snap field goals with better consistency with his Perfect Laces. After the two day ONE on ONE Snapping Lesson he and his mom both wanted my opinion. I told them he had some excellent snapping potential but still needed to improve.
I gave him his training video and told him to go back and study the video and work on the drills I gave him. I tell everyone that changing your muscle memory doesn't happen over night it takes weeks or sometimes months.
I told Zach to go home and practice these drills and come back in a couple of months to my Snappers ONLY Training Camp here in Fountain Hills, Arizona in January. Come a compete against some of the best college seniors getting ready for the 2017 NFL Draft and other free agent snappers like himself.

Zach came to my January camp and the first day we evaluated his progress. He had improved on many facets of his snapping game but was still having some issues snapping tight spirals.
As I told him and all snappers "No NFL Team is going to pay somebody three, four or five hundred thousand dollars to snap wobbles.
We made some minor adjustment with his had position and told him to work with it for a least one practice session at camp.
He tried it and liked the changes and adjustment. His field goal and punt snaps were much tighter and his accuracy was better.
During my Snapper's ONLY Training camps we emphasize improving a snappers field goal and punt snapping consistency, footwork for blocking and also his agility and coverage skills. I try to expose these snappers to what they would experience in any NFL mini or training camp.
I also expose them to various NFL Special Teams Coordinators philosophy on blocking technique.
Zach left camp more confident with his snapping and blocking technique. In February Zach again signed a futures contract with the Dallas Cowboys. He went to mini camp and finished the 2017 Training Camp with some good pre-season game experience.
He was released after the final pre-season game. He text me and told me to keep my eyes and ears open. Two days later he received a call from the New Orleans Saints. He and several other free agent snappers that were just released from other NFL teams all went in for a tryout. Zach Won!
On September 7th, 2017 the New Orleans Saints signed Zach Wood to an NFL contract. Zach was now the starting snapper for the Saints.

Drew Ferris at Coach Zauner's 2016 Free Agent Combine
I first met Drew Ferris in February of 2015 when he attended Coach Zauner's 2015 College Senior Combine in Gilbert, Arizona at Camp Verde High School. Drew had a very impressive snapping performance however, he weighed in at 222 pounds. He definitely had NFL potential but was undersized.
Now, in 2016 he attends Coach Zauner's 2016 Free Agent Combine which is also attended by 27 NFL and 4 CFL Teams. He once again puts on a very impressive showing but now weighs in at 236 pounds. He not only snaps well, runs well but also interviews well.

Since I met Taybor in January I've only seen a hard working young man with a lot of NFL potential. Size, snapping ability and good agility. Taybor was one of the six snappers that I recommended to NFL Coaches as Top Potential Snappers. The 2016 College Senior Combine yielded at least 10 snappers that will catch the eye of NFL personal. I first met Joe Cardona (Navy) at my Milwaukee, Wisconsin PRO Development Camp for College Kicking, Punting & Snapping Specialist.
At first glance I could tell Joe Cardona had NFL Potential. However, like most young college snappers they all need to learn more importantly to snap and block in a PRO style punt formation.
In past years I have been very successful helping several other College Specialists make the transition from College snapping to the NFL. Many of those snappers have been a part of Coach Zauner's Programs which include: ONE on ONE Snapping Lessons, PRO Development Camps, College Senior or Free Agent Combines. Most of these snappers attended one or more of the programs. Last summer Joe Cardona and Andrew East were two more snappers that have participated in one of Coach Zauner's Programs and moved on to bigger and better things.
I don't know how much I thought Joe about snapping but I believe I pointed him in the right direction with regards to selecting the right agent and the "Process".
I believe the sooner I see young College and NFL potential specialists, the better I can help educate them and their parents about "The Process". The "Process" which includes important information about the selection of an agent, upcoming Bowl Games such as the Senior Bowl, their PRO Day, Coach Zauner's College Senior Combine and the NFL Draft.

Last fall I also received a call from the Director of the Senior Bowl, Phil Savage. Phil and I worked together at the Baltimore Ravens for four years. Phil called asking for recommendations for kicking specialists.
Joe Cardona (Navy) and Andrew East both received and invitation to the 2015 Senior Bowl. Joe later got invited to the NFL Combine in February in Indianapolis. Joe's performance at the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine produced a 5th Round selection by the New England Patriots. Andrew East was signed as a Free Agent with the K.C. Chiefs. Joe should be the starting snapper for the New England Patriots this season unless his Naval commitment interferes with his NFL future.
